Prior to becoming a Certified Professional Coach, I worked for almost 10 years in the corporate world. I started off as a Marketing Coordinator at TINY e-commerce company. From there, I learned the importance of professional networking and made a number of career pivots ALL via my network. I went from digital advertising sales, to working for a large online publisher, to working in health care and finally to starting my own business via coaching. All the while I was climbing the corporate ladder from Coordinator, to Account Manager, to Account Executive, to Senior Account Executive, to Business Development Manager to owning my own business. And while climbing I grew my salary by more than 437%. How? Through trial and error, a lot of practice and seeing in action the techniques and tools needed to successfully negotiate.
I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of success in my millennial career, but the truth is I also struggled a lot. There were times I felt completely disconnected from what I was doing. I felt deep imposter syndrome, a lack of confidence in myself and questioned my ability to succeed.
After experiencing these thoughts and feelings for a number of years, I officially reached my burnout point and decided I couldn’t do it anymore.
